The six dancers' bodies are as naked as the stage space that surrounds them, and they perform a minimalist, stripped-down choreography to piano music by Chopin. Without hesitating to display exposed bodies on stage, choreographer Daniel Léveillé portrays the vulnerability of human existence.

The Modesty of Icebergs presents the body as a clinical object, forcing the viewer to confront their own voyeurism. Trembling muscles and quivering flesh become evidence of the impossibility of the quest for perfection.
Daniel Léveillé's work has often centred on the human body and its movements, and in The Modesty of Icebergs he delves deeper into the subject. Through simple and repetitive movements, Léveillé highlights both fragility and strength in this uncompromising and beautiful performance.
