Stay and dance dabke in the foyer after the show. Badke with Les Ballets C de la B. Nasreen Aljanabi Larsson will show us the basics of dabke dancing and then we will continue dancing all evening to live music and a DJ. The Dabke club runs between 20-22.

Dabke is a modern Arabic folk dance that is danced at festivities in Lebanon, Jordan, Iraq, Syria and Palestine. Dabke groups perform in folk costumes at weddings, but evenings in restaurants can also end in dabke rhythms and social dancing in dabke circles.

Nasreen Aljanabi Larsson is a choreographer and dancer born and raised in Damascus, Syria, where she studied at the Academy of Theatre, Art and Dance and worked as a dancer. In Sweden, she has worked with dance and theatre, but also as a journalist and media activist, including at Swedish Radio's Arabian editorial office and within the Arabian Theatre.
