Acclaimed choreographer Alexander Ekman creates his first full evening programme for the Cullberg Ballet. The programme includes three works with different expressions and moods that all twist and turn the concept of entertainment. Dance is mixed with speech, the playful with the quiet, the simple meaning with the ambiguous. Can everything be entertainment?

Ekman is currently one of Sweden's most popular dance exports, known for his accurate works with a humorous twist. Only 26 years old, he has had a successful dance career and established himself internationally as a choreographer. He has been commissioned by Nederlands Dans Theater, Ballet de L'Opéra du Rhin, Bern Ballet and Ballet Junior de Genève, IT-Dansa, Iceland Dance Company, GöteborgsOperans Balett and most recently Cedar Lake Contemporary Ballet. In the spring of 2010, his dance film 40 M UNDER
premiere at Dansens Hus.
