The works of the late Gothic artist Hieronymus Bosch (c. 1450-1516) depict the agony of hell as well as the delight of the bodily senses with an intimate physicality. Elisabeth Mansén, a historian of ideas, tells us about this peculiar and style-defining artist who was a master of nightmares, but who also drew the most delightful of gardens. Bosch's depiction of the human condition from creation to judgement has inspired artists for over 500 years.

The lecture will take place directly after the performance of Compagnie Marie Chouinard. The Garden of Earthly Delights inspired by Bosch's triptych of the same name.

Tickets for the lecture can only be purchased in conjunction with the purchase of a ticket for the performance. The garden of earthly delights 20 Oct at 19:00
