Meet circus artist Marta Alstadsæter and dancer Kim-Jomi Fischer in an intimate evening where dance and acrobatics meet across genres.

A physical dialogue where Marta and Kim ask questions about consciousness through constant shifting of weight, direction and movement. Where do our thoughts come from? Angels is a performance about inner struggle and decision-making.

Marta and Kim met in 2015. Their different histories became the basis for a thriving collaboration. In the years since, they have created their own artistic expression by delving into the possibilities and qualities of the symbiosis between acrobatics and dance.

About the choreographers

Marta Alstadsæter

Marta Alstadsæter (Hammerfest, Norway 1990) comes from an artistic family. She had plans to become a writer, but ended up in the Netherlands and acrobatics. She specialises in hand acrobatics and holds a Bachelor of Circus Arts from Codarts University in Rotterdam. In addition to her own work, she works as a freelance performer, including Erik Kaiel/Arch8, Cie Woest and is part of Collective Penguin Productions.

Kim-Jomi Fischer

Kim-Jomi Fischer (Utrecht, Netherlands 1985) was born into a family of street performers and was introduced to acrobatics at an early age. But Kim himself was drawn to dance instead. In 2007, he graduated from Codarts, the Rotterdam Dance Academy. Since then, he has been working as a freelance dancer in the Netherlands for choreographers such as Ann vd Broek, André Gingras, Liat Waysbort, Loïc Perela, and Suzy Blok.
In 2011 he worked for DV8 Physical Theatre in the production "Can we talk about this?". Today Kim is back in the Netherlands where he has been working mostly with Pia Meuthen, Ivan Perez and Erik Kaiel.
