Örjan Andersson is one of Sweden's most acclaimed choreographers and has led his own company, Andersson Dance, since 1996.

After successful years as a dancer with Östgötabaletten and Batsheva Dance Company in Israel, he made his debut as a choreographer in the 1990s. His first major commissioned work for Cullberg and Dansens hus was a success and opened doors internationally. Since then, he has created works for many of the major dance companies, such as the Cullberg Ballet, the Royal Opera and the Gothenburg Opera. Two popular works are the theatre duet 252 days with two pregnant ballerinas in the main roles and Goldberg Variations - Patterns for insomnia with music by the Scottish Ensemble.

In an international context, Örjan Andersson has worked with, for example, Nederlands Dans Theatre and Compañía Nacional de Danza in Madrid. In recent years he has worked in several cross-border collaborations with actors, dancers and musicians both within the framework of Andersson Dance but also at Dramaten in Stockholm, Folkteatern in Gothenburg and Folkoperan in Stockholm.

Andersson Dance has been a regular feature at Dansens Hus since the house's first seasons. In recent years, Andersson Dance has toured to the UK, Germany, Belgium, Norway, the USA and China with, among other things, the acclaimed work "Goldberg Variations - Ternary patterns for insomnia" which was performed at Dansens Hus in 2015.
