Planning your visit
Dansens Hus is situated in Barnhusgatan 14 by Norra Bantorget in central Stockholm in close proximity to bus, underground, trains and parking facilities. The nearest underground stations are T-Centralen (exit Vasagatan) or Hötorget (exit Olof Palmes gata). The nearest bus stop is Norra Bantorget.
Parking is available near Dansens Hus as well as a parking facility (p-hus) below Norra Bantorget, with access from Olof Palmes Gata. Accessible parking is available immediately outside the main entrance.
One level up from the main entrance you will find Café Markelius, named after the architect behind the building, Sven Markelius. The café is open in connection with performances on The Main stage and the menu consists of coffee, drinks, sandwiches, pastries and snacks. Larger groups may pre-order a glass of wine, coffee or a ”mingle package” by calling 08-506 166 50. Individual guests are welcome to place their order upon arrival, on those occasions when there is an interval. There is an elevator.
The entrance to the Box Office and the foyer is on street level. To get to the theatre room (one level down) or to the café (one level up) you may use our open elevator. It measures 125×85 centimeters and carries a maximum of four people or 400 kilos.
Please let us know that you use a wheelchair/walking frame when you book your ticket and we will provide you with accessible seats in the auditorium. These must be booked via our Box Office. If you need a companion for the performance, let us know when you make the booking/purchase. If you do not wish to remain in your wheelchair during the performance, please speak to our ushers on site and they will help you to park the wheelchair/walking frame in a suitable place. This way we can best cater to security needs in the unlikely case of an evacuation.

The Main stage and The Small stage are equipped with infra red audio systems. You can borrow a neck loop with an IR- receiver. This neck loop constitutes it’s own local tele-transmitter which sends a signal that can be received by one’s own hearing aid. The IR- receivers are available for borrowing via the ushers.
Accommodation is available at Scandic Norra Bantorget in the same building as Dansens Hus but with an entrance from Wallingatan 15.
