"Contemplation" is Rebecca Livanious and Kevin Wedins first full evening performance on stage. Both are well-known dancers in the Swedish hip hop world. They have travelled the world to participate in battles and various productions. You may also have seen them in performances during previous years' Urban Connection festivals, such as Linnea Sonka and Tove Rådmark's "Unvolution" where both danced.

Now, for the first time, they will take the plunge and create their very own show, which they describe themselves as: "A story of two individuals' quest to find the key to the unpredictable flow of life."

In the performance Contemplation Rebecca and Kevin have used their own life experiences of societal norms and structures as a starting point. How does this affect their own self-image and other people's images of me and of different ethnic groups. It is about togetherness, community, prejudice; following your intuition.

"Love is uncontrolled, when we take control of it, it destroys us. When we try to imprison it, it enslaves us. When we try to understand it, it leaves us with a sense of abandonment and confusion."
(Paulo Coelho, 2014, "By the river Piedra I sat down and wept")
