About the concept:

Welcome to the premiere of the concept "Into the music", a concept that will live on during 2023 on different stages/clubs in Stockholm. The evening is presented in the Orion Theatre's magical stage space by the organisation Gatuverket, a newly started non-profit association that works with and for street/freestyle dance as a culture and art form.

On stage, this concept brings together some of Sweden's top street/freestyle dancers in a direct encounter with a live musician and DJ. By letting dancers and musicians be equally driving, a unique improvised journey is created where dance and music together write the story. Solos, duets and group-based improvisations blur the line between dance and music. At the centre is the love of spontaneity, freedom of movement, curiosity, creativity and of course how music and dance can live their best life together.
