Humour and a hefty dose of quirky, almost acrobatic dance. The Swedish-Japanese dancers of C/Ompany are back with a fresh performance. Wearing green onepiece. Inspired by the Swedish word "nja" and a philosophical street in Kyoto.

C/Ompany's last performance at Dansens Hus, Iki.Shi.Tai (2012), was filled with humour, colour and self-ironic wit. Drawing on Japanese culture - or our prejudices about it - they treated the audience to laughter and breathtaking acrobatic dance. Now the physical equilibrists are back with a new hour-long show, inspired by the word 'no' and a Kyoto street filled with philosophical signs. Expect humour and a healthy dose of quirky, almost acrobatic dance.

Dance with the dancers!

As an added bonus - stay for a free workshop with the dancers after the performance on 17, 18 and 19 February. Suitable for both professional dancers and those who dance for their own pleasure. During this workshop you get an insight into C/Ompany's way of working and try out contact improvisation. Welcome to pre-register at [email protected]

About C/Ompany

C/Ompany is a collective working in Sweden and Japan whose performances are physically smart, charmingly simple and thought-provoking. It is run by Japanese-born Shintaro Oue, who has danced with the Cullberg Ballet. Like the other dancers, three internationally active compatriots, he has worked with some of Europe's top choreographers.
