It is also a celebration of liberation for women... and men.<\/p>\n<p>The performance begins with a painting by Ingres from the 1860s depicting women in the Turkish bath. Seven female dancers appear in a variety of clich\u00e9d femininities, ranging from the mute posing images of the 19th century to the contemporary sexualised woman resembling artificial sex dolls.<\/p>\n<p>- <em>Masculine<\/em> is that all people should recognise the patterns they are in and be able to break out of them if they want to.
