Three cities. Three world premieres. Three of Sweden's leading dance companies. Welcome to a unique national collaboration between three of Sweden's leading dance companies: G\u00f6teborgsOperans Danskompani, Kungliga Baletten and Sk\u00e5nes Dansteater.<\/p>\n

During the spring, a choreographer chosen by each company visited one of its sister companies and created a new work for its dancers. The result: three fantastic dance works performed by the country's top dancers!<\/p>\n

Katr\u00edn Hall, artistic director of G\u00f6teborgsOperans Danskompani, Nicolas Le Riche, artistic director of Kungliga Baletten and \u00c5sa S\u00f6derberg, artistic director of Sk\u00e5nes Dansteater, make the following joint statement on 3D:<\/p>\n

\"Our idea of the project is to create new opportunities for development through exchange. We are keen to nurture and stimulate our dancers' creativity and with this project we create a platform for new talents, a chance for dancers to develop as choreographers. This is the first time these three of Sweden's leading dance companies have come together in this way and it will be very exciting to see the results of this intense process.\"<\/em><\/p>\n

Lea Elizabeth Ved<\/h3>\n

Lea Elizabeth Ved is originally from the USA where she trained at The Juilliard School in New York and Springboard Dance in Montreal. She has worked with The Juilliard Dance Ensemble and RUBBERBANDance Group, Montreal, and was awarded the Choreographic Honours - The Juilliard School. In 2016 Lea joined the Royal Swedish Ballet and has been appointed 2nd Soloist in 2017. She has also performed in \"Midsummer Night's Dream\" (Alexander Ekman), \"Bill\" (Sharon Eyal), \"Half Life\" (Sharon Eyal) and \"PUUR\" (Wim Vandekeybus).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Dorotea Saykaly<\/h3>\n

Dancer from Montreal, Canada. Dorotea Saykaly studied at the Conservatoire de Danse de Montreal and Arts Umbrella in Vancouver. Between 2006 and 2013, she was a member of the Compagnie Marie Chouinard. She toured internationally with the company and danced several solo pieces, including Debussy's A faun's afternoon<\/em> (Prelude to a wildlife afternoon<\/em>). She dances in the filming of Chouinard's work. bODY_rEMIX <\/em>and The Rite of Spring<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Alongside the Compagnie Marie Chouinard, Dorotea has created smaller works, including PAINTED <\/em>and Letter Candle<\/em>, which has been shown at several international film festivals. In 2013, she created the In a Box,<\/em> a live performance installation, for Harlem Art Factory Fest New York. Dorotea Saykaly is a member of G\u00f6teborgsOperans Danskompani since July 2014.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

SARAH BELLUGI CLIMATE<\/h3>\n

Sarah trained at the Imago Lab Contemporary Dance School (Florence, Italy). In 2004 she graduated with a BA in modern dance from the Hoogeschool voor de Kunsten, Modern Dance Department in Amsterdam, principal Angela Linssen.<\/p>\n

As a freelancer, Sarah has participated in \u00d6rjan Andersson's Triptych, collaborated with Malm\u00f6 Symphony Orchestra, participated in Malm\u00f6 Sommarscen and danced the climbing dance performance 1:1:1 with Sardine Sauvage. Sarah enjoys leading dance workshops and has also made her own choreographies.<\/p>\n

Sarah has worked at Sk\u00e5nes Dansteater since 2003 and is part of the permanent ensemble.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
