The work is a co-operation between Philip Berlin, Ulrika Berg, Louise Perming<\/strong> and Linn Ragnarsson<\/strong>. The music is written by the Finnish composer Vladislav Delay<\/strong> who, among other things, wrote the music for the major Swedish film \"Borg\".<\/p>\n

At a time when goods have become aestheticised.
Consumption erotic.
The policy spectacular.
What does the choreography suggest?<\/p>\n

Idleness and disorder. Dance, ecstasy and an enduring closeness.
Perhaps an excess and a waste in a non-consumerist sense?
Opening up to the luxury of being idle.
Maybe >>wasteful<< of sensuality?<\/p>\n

To be simultaneously immersed in an intensely ascending auditory landscape and the constantly falling snow.
To be danced through activities that provide us with frequent discontinuities and interruptions; and an almost non-existent regularity.<\/p>\n

Can a divided and fragmented contemporary world reveal itself through our experiences of repetitive uncompromisingness?
Through repetition, it confirms the >>overly useless<<.
A limitless need for >>disposal<< beyond the commodification of capitalism. To be consumed beyond destruction.
Where the superfluous can take up unlimited space.<\/p>\n

Philip Berlin<\/h3>\n

Concept & choreography<\/p>\n

Philip Berlin is based in Stockholm and has been working with dance and choreography since 2010. He is educated at the Royal Swedish Ballet School modern\/contemporary line.<\/p>\n

In recent years, Philip has collaborated with the likes of Louise Dahl, ccap\/Cristina Caprioli, Gis\u00e8le Vienne, Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric Gies<\/strong> and together with Ulrika Berg<\/strong> he is the initiator of SUNDAY RUN_UP.
He has previously shown work at Moderna Museet Stockholm and Th\u00e9\u00e2tre de la Ville Paris.<\/p>\n

Philip has also worked with CCN Ballet de Lorranie and danced in works by Maria La Ribot, William Forsythe, Merce Cunningham and Mathilde Monnier, among others.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Vladislav Delay<\/h3>\n

Music<\/p>\n

Described by The Wire Magazine as \"one of the most consistently creative artists of our time\" Vladislav Delay's long career has made him a key influential artist in the electronic music scene. His career began in the late 90s and had its breakthrough in the early 00s when he produced cult classics such as 'Entain', 'Multila' and 'Anima'.<\/p>\n

Vladislav Delay's 'style' is a non-existent composition of the underworld; limited, bulky and completely paralysing.<\/p>\n

He has released over twenty critically acclaimed albums, all in different genres throughout his career. This includes being associated as one of those who inadvertently invented the \"Micro House\" genre. The seminal release \"Vocalcity\" received a 9.7 on Pitchfork. (Yes, we could be formal all day, but that is one of the most perfect moments in pop music).<\/em><\/p>\n

Vladislav is a multi-talented individual, regularly collaborating with composers such as Craig Armstrong, as well as Jamaican legends like Sly & Robbie and Norwegian jazz musicians Nils-Petter Molvaer and Eivind Aarset.<\/p>\n

Ulrika, Louise, Eugene and Orphan Ann<\/h3>\n

Ulrika Berg<\/strong> is active in the field of dance and choreography and is based in Stockholm. She has worked with, among others, Ludvig Daae, Cristina Caprioli\/ccap, Rebecka Stillman, Deborah Hay, Rasmus \u00d6lme&Sv\u00e4rmen, Anna Koch, Janne-Camilla Lyster and with the Cullberg Ballet in Stockholm. Louise Perming<\/strong> works as a dancer in the performing arts in Sweden and internationally. She has since 2014 worked with ccap and Cristina Caprioli in projects such as, A Line Up, Sadness extended, Petrolio2, Tr\u00e4d, att att and ongoing project, Hon som tror sig vara en blek planet. Since 2016, Louise has worked with Gis\u00e8le Vienne in the performance crowd which is touring internationally (2017-2020). She has also worked with, among others, Bj\u00f6rn S\u00e4fsten and Shumpei Nemoto. Louise has studied at the Ballet Academy in Stockholm.<\/p>\n

Eugene Sundelius von Rosen<\/strong> (born 1991) is based in Stockholm. His work concerns languages and environments and takes place on and off stage. He has previously shown works at Index, Minibar, Marabouparken and Delfi in Malm\u00f6. As a poet he made his debut in 2017 with Djurg<\/em>\u00e5<\/em>rdswell <\/em>(podpoetry press) a long poem in the gap between the misspoken and the misheard.<\/p>\n

Orphan Ann<\/strong> is a Stockholm duo that makes pitch-black, heartbreaking synths with gothic undertones and a distinct sense of restrained drama. Behind the name are Sofia Al Rammal (SARS, F\u00f6dd D\u00f6d) and Anja Enerud from the organising collective Masskultur. On the edge of an audience discussion<\/strong>, a choreographed conversation with Marcus Doverud, Liv Strand and Nathalie Wuerth and some of the participants in Rough Potentials. We want to talk about and activate some impulses that have served as a basis for the performance and the physical expression of the stage space.<\/p>\n

Marcus Doverud<\/strong>s work is characterised by links between physical, spatial and musical expressions. Choreography and musical composition touch each other in scenic negotiations. The dance piece 'cool cool uncool and loving warm' (2016) with dancer Emma Daniel offered a choreographic staging of 'groove' through dance. Marcus Doverud has made several solo performances in Sweden and abroad and has a long-standing collaboration with visual artist Liv Strand that has resulted in several performances and the book Viformation. Doverud has previously worked in theatre, including at Unga Klara, Stockholm City Theatre. Doverud is based in Stockholm and is educated at the Theatre Academy's mime programme in Stockholm and in aesthetics and philosophy at S\u00f6dert\u00f6rn University. The choreography 'Hudjaget' will premiere in October 2018. Hudjaget is Doverud's first work made for several dancers. www.marcusdoverud.com<\/a><\/p>\n

Liv Strand<\/strong> immerses herself as an artist in processes that shape understanding. For her, art is a practice where physical materials are used to express relationships, along with spoken language. The performance of a relationship, between people and even to things, shapes propositions with subjective precision. A couple of ongoing collaborations provide space for negotiating ways of doing things together. Ideas are created as installations, and in workshops, activated and perverted in relation to established notions. Liv Strand has exhibited at Nikolaj Kunsthall, Copenhagen, Haus am Waldsee in Berlin and gallery 0047 in Oslo, Verkstad konsthall in Norrk\u00f6ping, Krognoshuset in Lund and with Grafikens Hus in S\u00f6dert\u00e4lje. www.livstrand.com<\/a><\/p>\n

Nathalie Wuerth<\/strong> sees the voice as a material for exploring the boundaries and language of the body. From preverbal expressions to slogans and quotes, Wuerth seeks to use the voice to occupy other bodies and positions, such as that of a vacuum cleaner or a series of insects. For the past four years, Wuerth has been working on issues related to unpaid work in the home, inspired by the feminist movement Wages for Housework Campaign from the early 1970s, whose critique of labour today has a new and expanded relevance.
