The title, which means \u201dGolden Age\u201d, refers to the heyday of flamenco from the late 19th century to the 1930s - an era when song and dance took centre stage and expression was characterised by simplicity, sincerity and deep roots in tradition.<\/p>\n

\u201dFor me, it's about surrendering to the silence, with the memory of the guitar and the singing. The dancer's body is a symphony of movements and a musical instrument. \u2018Edad de Oro\u2019 is my personal dance laboratory.\u201d<\/p>\n

In La Edad de Oro<\/em> Galv\u00e1n doesn't just search for the roots of flamenco - he exposes them. Together with Mar\u00eda Mar\u00edn<\/strong> and Mr Rafael Rodr\u00edguez<\/strong> Galv\u00e1n establishes a stage dynamic that deepens the stringent character of the work. By stripping away the decorative and focusing on the essential, a raw presence emerges where body, voice and strings interact in an unfiltered expression. The performance is not nostalgic, but a contemporary response to a lost form - a flamenco that burns, breaks and touches.<\/p>\n

To make the experience complete, we have invited Stockholm's own flamenco club \u201dFlamencofredag\u201d to transform our Studio Stage into a passionate \u201dtablao\u201d on night two, 20 November.

This is a work that is touring with Dansn\u00e4t Sweden <\/a>autumn 2026, starting in Malm\u00f6 on 10 November. It will then play in Falun, Knivsta and Lule\u00e5 before finishing the tour in Stockholm.<\/p>\n
