Included in<em> Performing the Archives<\/em> - a whole week at Dansens Hus celebrating the history of contemporary dance.<\/p>\n<p>In this case <i>Dixit Dominus, <\/i>the last and probably least known work of the legendary choreographer Kurt Jooss. He created it in 1975, exclusively for the charismatic Indian dancer Lilavati H\u00e4ger with music by Handel. After her death, Rani Nair inherited the work through Lilavati's husband.<\/p>\n<p>After making a much-toured reconstruction of Dixit Dominus in 2003, which was as close to the original version as possible, Rani now turns her attention to the intriguing story behind the work. What were the authors' intentions and wishes?
