Following a four-year renovation of the main venue, the organisation returned in 2025, featuring not only guest performances but also new formats such as ateliers, youth productions, and studios supporting the Swedish free scene on both regional and national levels.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As the artistic director of Staatsballett Berlin from (2018-2020), he successfully transformed Germany's largest ballet company into a hub of innovation, earning the title of Company of the Year by the dance magazine <em>dance.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>During his tenure as the Artistic Director of The Royal Swedish Ballet (2011-2017) \u00d6hman elevated the company's international presence, performing at prestigious venues like L'Op\u00e9ra de Paris and the Kennedy Center.<\/p>\n<p>His role as Artistic Director (2007-2011) at G\u00f6teborgsoperans Danskompani marked a groundbreaking shift, steering the company from a ballet-focused entity to a contemporary dance powerhouse.<\/p>\n<p>Johannes \u00d6hman, joined The Royal Swedish Ballet in 1987 and reached the rank of 1st soloist by 1991 after honing his skills at the Royal Swedish Ballet School.
