Dansens Hus has long presented works for children and young people. But with our new Studio Stage, we now have, for the first time, an entire stage dedicated to dance works for children and young people - the future audiences and artists of dance. At Studioscen, we are expanding the programme with both public performances and school performances - in close collaboration with DANSiSTAN.<\/p>\n
Our intention is clear: at Studioscen we want to offer children and young people dance art of high artistic quality - works that reflect their realities, but also open doors to new worlds, possibilities and perspectives.<\/p>\n
We start from a strong belief in the right of all children to dance. Strengthening young people's access to artistic experiences means strengthening freedom of expression, imagination and the ability to imagine something different. These are fundamental building blocks of a free and inclusive society.<\/p>\n
We therefore see this focus as an artistic and democratic act. At a time when children's access to arts and culture varies greatly - depending on where they grow up, school priorities and family resources - it becomes particularly important to make dance accessible and relevant, regardless of background.<\/p>\n
Our deepened collaboration with DANSiSTAN plays a key role here. Together we hope to reach more schools, more children - and in more parts of Stockholm!<\/p>\n
