We work in an outreach and inclusive way and we are always curious about new artistic ideas and collaborations! We therefore welcome invitations to performances, residencies, seminars, workshops and the like. Participating in these contexts is an important part of our work to discover and deepen our understanding of different artistic practices. Please note that from time to time we receive a large amount of material and unfortunately we are not always able to respond personally to each invitation.

How we assess proposals

We consider artistic quality as a multidimensional concept and endeavour to identify works that are both urgent and relevant in relation to a wide audience. Our artistic decisions are based on an overall judgement in which several key parameters interact. Some of these are:

  • Artistic vision and expression: To what extent does the work contribute to renewing, challenging and developing the discourse and practice of contemporary dance?
  • Diversity and inclusion: We aim for programming that is representative of different voices, perspectives and experiences and that actively reflects the heterogeneity of society.
  • Public perspective: What relevance does the work have for the audience, and what potential does it have to create engagement, new perspectives and experiences, touching and meaningful encounters?
