On some, everything always fits perfectly! Always right, always stylish, never out of place, never too small or too big. Colour, shape, lines, body, a perfect outfit for every occasion! While another one is tangled with the same knots that can never be unravelled. How can the same jumper be right one day but wrong the next? Avig is a dance work for children in middle school about understanding the pattern and finding the right side, about coming to terms with oneself, fitting into the body, the group, the room and the world.
The performance is created by TuBO & Co. It is produced by Smart frilanskooperativ in collaboration with Unga Dramaten and in co-production with Dansens Hus Stockholm. With support from the Swedish Arts Council and the City of Stockholm.
About TuBO & Co
TuBO & Co consists of Tobias Ulfvebrand and Hugo Therkelson. Both are trained at the Royal Swedish Ballet School and, in addition to several professional years as dancers, have worked in the music field as composers. The critically acclaimed puppet show Vill ha hund at Dockteatern Tittut was the starting point for their collaboration where they got the chance to combine their love for dance, puppets and music. The collaboration then continued at Dockteatern Tittut with the performance SNÖ and now Avig under their own direction, which spins on their previous works.
Avig is an astonishing and fun all-ages performance of dance joy and mischievous body parts, where the movements are organically interwoven with the varied music.
