The feet play across the floor, at a fast pace and on the upbeat. The upper body sways, a continuous undulation that reveals both musicality and soul. House dance is not only a social dance but also offers a greater sense of community. With groove and high energy, it allows you to lose yourself in the throb of the music and the pulse of the dance.

With a passion for house dance and its vocabulary, choreographer Cassiel Gaube has immersed himself in its chiselled footwork and skilful turns. It maps and deconstructs all the steps in the house dance repertoire. The trio plays with the steps, their characteristic bouncing footworks and the rocking jacking of the torso.

Movements, rhythms and attitudes are intertwined, synchronised and dissolved. Using physical and musical logic, the rich vocabulary of house dance is explored and the dancers find new and inventive ways to articulate them together.

Study evening offers a surprising dialogue with contemporary dance and house dance. A wordless conversation between the dancers' footwork where the sound of sneakers and breathing is the only thing heard.
