RESIDENCE FOR EXPLORATION AND DEVELOPMENT OF DANCE ART

In order to further support artistic development, Dansens Hus is actively searching for new ways of developing collaboration and dialogue with artists and other professionals operating within the field of dance. We aim to establish Dansens Hus as an important arena for exchange of artistic ideas by facilitating mobility for both national and international artists.

WHO CAN APPLY?

Residency is open for choreographers, artists, dancers, film makers, writers, producers, project coordinators etc. Applicants may have recently started their career, still be a student or established in the dance scene. Both national and international artists can apply.

WHAT PROJECTS FITS THE PROFILE?

Residence is for you who wish to try out ideas in a long-term or short-term perspective. We are curious to hear what you need to do to develop your ideas or artistic aims. The projects can be public or non-public events for example seminars, presentations, exhibitions, discussions, work-in progress etc. It can consist of research, development or/and production presentation.

Examples of support that can be applied for from Dansens Hus:

• Support with technical staff and/or technical equipment
• Access to administrative facilities, for example a desk space
• Support and advise about project coordination and/or marketing, presentation or audience work
• Rehearsal studios or stage time
• The possibility to get support from a mentor
• Support to cover costs if you have public lectures or workshops

Salary is not included in Residence.
