Your visit

Since 1991, Dansens Hus has been located in Folkets Hus at Norra bantorget in central Stockholm. From the turn of the year 2022/2023, a renovation of the entire Folkets Hus is underway. During the renovation, Dansens Hus staff and main stage will be located at Elverket, Linnégatan 69, about 400 metres from Karlaplan metro station.

During the renovation period, Dansens Hus also appears with guest performances at other locations in Stockholm. Please note the venue for each performance!

Info on bag ban

At present, Dansens Hus is not covered by the Police Authority's decision on a total bag ban at major events. However, we would like to ask you to avoid, as far as possible, bringing bags larger than A4 size to our performances. Exceptions can be made for special events, in which case we will contact you by email and text message. Thank you for helping to create a safe experience on our stages!

Visitors with children

We recommend all our regular performances from 13 years old. Children's performances have a specified age limit depending on the target group. The age limit in the theatres is 5 years, unless otherwise stated.

Parking

Elverket: Parking is available at Garnisonen, Linnégatan 87. Nearest subway: Karlaplan.

Wardrobe

Elverket: An unmanned cloakroom is available free of charge.

Salons

Elverket: at Linnégatan 69 has our stage with about 200 seats.

Norra Bantorget: Dansens Hus at Norra Bantorget has two stages: the main stage with about 782 seats and the small stage with about 140 seats. The number of seats will remain the same after the renovation.

Consumption

At the same address as Dansens Hus stage Elverket (Linnégatan 69) you will find the restaurant and bar. Brasserie Elverket, which is an independent establishment but which you can of course visit during the performances at Elverket. It serves lunch and dinner and the bar is open until late. Hotel

Around Elverket in Östermalm there are several hotels, some of the closest are Mornington, Hotel Dagmar and Clarion Hotel Wellington.
