Programme

Dance, DJ:ing, Beatmaking, Graffiti and Dance Battle

Try exciting workshops in the foyer and dance classes on stage. Pre-registration is required for parts of the programme. These activities are mainly for young visitors - a place to explore and challenge themselves in any of the different expressions of hip hop according to their own premises and conditions. We end the day with a powerful All Style Rookie Battle and Open Floor Jam Disco.

DANISH CLASSES (Elverkets stage)
Try out different street dance styles! You don't need any prior knowledge or special dance clothes. Come as you are! We will present three different classes - hip hop, popping and dancehall - with some of the best dance teachers in each style. Each class will start with a short performance from each teacher.
The classes are free of charge. Register at [email protected] by indicating which dance class you would like to attend, as well as your name and age.

DJ:ING AND BEATMAKING (Foyer)
You will learn how to mix two songs together, scratch or just learn how all the different buttons on a DJ mixer work. DJ workshops for all ages and levels. How to create songs and beats? Try making your own beats and get help and guidance from some real professionals.

GRAFFITI (Foyer)
Learn how to create a drawing, sketch or lettering from this art form. You will be helped to sketch out what you want to do and then perhaps the opportunity to get it up on a wall. Drawings can be taken home or left for everyone to admire during the Streetstar weekend.

ALL STYLE ROOKIE BATTLE (Elverkets scene)
We end the day with a powerful All Style Battle for all young dancers who want to participate. Regardless of dance style, you are welcome to sign up! Hip Hop, Breaking, Dancehall, Afro, Locking, Popping, House etc.

If you want to take part in the competition, you can register via Streetstars website. Battle ends with an open floor jam disco 20:00-21:00 on the stage floor.
