The contemporary dance equivalent of silent disco! The German group Ligna does not allow the audience to sit in the audience, but has created a performance that is created by you, on our stage. Through headphones, you and the rest of the audience are given instructions on how to move.

The performance is built around collective exercises that look back at history. LIGNA argues that the First World War contributed to a major change in the concept of art, as artists looked for new ways of expression. Here you can try your hand at "utopian movements", inspired by four historical voices who all sought new ways of dance expression: Bertolt Brecht, Rudolf von Laban, Vsevolod Meyerhold and Charlie Chaplin.

Part of 'Performing the Archives' - a whole week at Dansens Hus with loving tributes to the history of contemporary dance.
