The sea, the storm and the struggle against both time and one's own body are the elements of Tânia Carvalho's expressive performance. Weaving Chaos. About patience, endless exhaustion and the waves that never stop rolling.

Homer's classic Odyssey is the centrepiece of the show. For ten years Odysseus struggles to get home from Troy. One-eyed giants, sirens and a trip to Hades; the obstacles make him dead tired, but the longing for home is stronger.

In the spirit of Homer, Carvalho cuts and pastes wildly in his performance. We land in the middle of the action and then go back and forth, like a shipwreck in the hands of the wind and waves. It's an endless struggle with nods to Greek mythology, stylised baroque paintings and the madly excited pulse of the 21st century.
