In parts of MELOrum Kids, the analogue performance is linked to a virtual world where the audience can move, feel the breeze and smell.

The boundary between the audience and the stage is blurred and the audience is on the stage floor together with the performers and moves to different places in the room. The dancing and live music are close and in some parts the audience is also touched physically, with a gentle hand.

The performance is created from the perspective of children with disabilities and multiple disabilities.

MELO Collective on VR:

"The VR world is a calm and poetic environment, without flashing or sudden moments. We, the artists, guide the children around the world and everyone decides for themselves if they want to try VR glasses and how long they want to spend in the VR world."

MELO Collective is a performing arts collective consisting of people with backgrounds in dance, sound design, music and visual arts. Since its inception in 2005, the group has created stage works, concerts, installations, sound choreography/architecture, music productions and art exhibitions.
