Seven people crash. Seven people, in the middle of the world, take on the airspace to deal with it and finally overcome it. The performance Under is about man's constant attempt to challenge gravity, about the eternal conflict between man and weather. And about taming the untamable.
To create Wonder, I have stepped away from solid ground. I have thrown myself from high altitudes, smelled the clouds and been fascinated by the approaching ground. I have constructed aerial platforms that glide silently over the ground, anchored by hot air balloons. With these new perspectives, I now take on a reality where everything is too high, too big, too heavy and too difficult. The intensity is turned up. We do everything to the fullest," says director Olle Strandberg.
Under is the third and final instalment in director Olle Strandberg's Under trilogy. Olle has previously explored the theme of the inevitable crash and return in the performances Undermän (2010) and Underart (2014) - two Cirkus Cirkör performances that have toured the world.
