I Mari Carrascos Paper Plane we meet four dancers who take us on a journey to a parallel universe. At the centre is a folded paper plane, which the dancers are affected by and relate to.
The bodies twist, sculpt, fold and get folded, they throw and rebuild. The atmosphere shifts from meditative calm to bubbly chaos.

The performance was commissioned by Riksteatern. Together with the scenographer Johanna Mårtensson and lighting designer Heiða Kristín Ragnarsdóttir Mari Carrasco and composer Mikael Karlsson have created a magical and beautiful world where it is difficult to distinguish between reality and illusion. The result is a visually captivating performance about disappearing into our dreams and our subconscious. Where it is both lightning fast and dreamy slow.

The music of the show is composed by the world-renowned composer Mikael Karlsson. Mikael has collaborated with choreographer Alexander Ekman on several productions, including the highly acclaimed "A Swan Lake". He has also collaborated with artists such as Lykke Li and Kleerup.
