In Il Cimento dell'Armonia e dell'Inventione has the iconsAnne Teresa De Keersmaeker and the choreographer Radouan Mrizigamade a deep dive into Antonio Vivaldi's The four seasons - one of the world's best-known and most reproduced pieces of music - and a timeless tribute to the beauty and fragility of nature.
With clinical precision and great passion, Rosas and De Keersmaker and Mriziga dissect Vivaldi's piece, digging down to the core of the music: level by level, thread by thread. The result is a choreographic counterpoint to the 300-year-old Baroque piece. The images, patterns and elements of the music are transferred to the dancers' bodies, and the theme of the piece triggers thoughts about man's relationship with nature in today's climate crisis. How much longer will we have four separate seasons?
Rosas/De Keersmaeker and Mriziga have previously collaborated on the work ”3IRD5 @ W9RK” which premiered in 2020.

About Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker
Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker is one of the world's most influential choreographers. She is also the founder of the renowned P.A.R.T.S. (Performing Arts Research and Training Studios) dance school in Brussels, which has trained countless choreographers and dancers.
In 1983, De Keersmaeker founded his legendary company Rosas, which has since toured the world and created iconic works such as "Rosas danst Rosas". Dance in relation to music is something that has always interested De Keersmaeker. Back in 1982, she created Fase, Four Movements to the Music of Steve Reich. Since then, with the Rosas company, she has created a wide range of works that take on musical structures and melodies from different genres, from older classical music to contemporary artists. For example, in the work "The Golden Hours", which was shown in 2017 at Dansens Hus, where the music of Brian Eno was at the centre. The last time Rosas visited Dansens Hus was in 2023 when the work "Exit above" was shown on our c/o stage Elverket.
About Radouan Mriziga
Radouan Mriziga (Morocco, 1985)
With roots in Marrakech and training both in Tunisia and at the prestigious P.A.R.T.S. dance programme in Brussels, Radouan Mriziga (1985) has forged an artistic practice that combines the analytical with the poetic.
Since graduating, he has worked on a number of high-profile productions, including Half Eleven Summer Night by Bart Meuleman (Toneelhuis), Re:Zeitung - in which young dancers recreated Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker's iconic work Zeitung - as well as Primitive by Claire Croizé, People in a Field by Simon Tanguy and Becoming by Youness Khoukhou.
Since 2014, Mriziga has focused on his own artistic expression. At the same time, he started A7LA5 - an organisation, lab and platform for creation and exchange of experiences. His first solo work, 55, was followed by the critically acclaimed group piece 3600 (2016) and the philosophically charged 7 (2017). In the same year, he also became an artist in residence at Kaaitheater in Brussels.
In 2019, Mriziga created 8.2., a work for young dancers in collaboration with Moussem, het paleis and fABULEUS.
In 2021 he became artist in residence at deSingel in Antwerp. His recent works include Atlas, Libya, Akal, Ayur and Tafukt - all works in which he continues to explore the body's relationship to architecture, history and identity.
In 2020, he collaborated for the first time with Rosas and Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker when they created the work 3IRD5 @ W9RK.
In conjunction with the performance on 25 March, audio description will be provided for people with visual impairments.
