All of Stockholm is rolling out the purple carpet. Of course, so are we! An evening where the house is open and everyone is welcome. Free admission and a lot of programmes at Dansens Hus. Welcome!

Culture night at Dansens Hus

18.00-22.30 Tastings and tasting sessions
A variety of activities are taking place in the foyer of Dansens Hus. There will be the inauguration of the installation Inverted Loop and samples from Dansens Hus' upcoming street dance festival Urban Connection. Members of Above The Clouds offer workshops in the street dance style locking, street dance battles and talks about different street dance styles.

19.00- ca 20.00 Small stage, THE HOLLOWS 2 by ROBIN JONSSON (performance)In his previous works, Robin Jonsson has been inspired by video games. This time the focus is on Zombies so beware, they carry infection and contagion! Please note, this programme item requires a ticket and the regular ticket price applies. 20.15- approx. 20.45 Lilla Scen, Eftersnack with Robin Jonsson Meet Robin Jonsson and ask your own questions! Robin Jonsson is a dancer and choreographer based in Brussels. He has made Super Conflict, I Believe I Can See The Future and Simulations. His pieces have been performed in Belgium, Germany and Scandinavia.

20.00-21.30 Shake It Out! Dance demonstration at Sergels Torg on Drottninggatan (live-streamed to a screen on the main stage). Finishes with a glittery dance party on the Dansens Hus main stage from 20.30 to 21.30.
During the month of April, Dansens Hus and performing artist Tove Sahlin/ Shake it Collaboration have invited the public and dancers from the Cullberg Ballet to participate in workshops. The work will culminate in a dance manifestation for everyone's right to take place on stage, in the city and the world. The dance manifestation starts in the streets and squares and ends with a glittering performance on Dansens Hus' main stage.

18-19, 22.30 - 24.00 DANSBIO, main stage
Here we present dance films in different formats. We show the multi award-winning film The Cost of Living by DV8 and the film Ajö with choreographer Mats Ek's solo made for world-famous ballerina Sylvie Guillem, the short film series Vi förändrar oss by Gunilla Heilborn and JUCK by Cajsa Godeé and Emelie Enlund.
