This isn't the first time Dansens Hus has had the honour of presenting Robin Jonsson's unique performance art. Just last year, audiences got to meet his video game-inspired dance work in the company of the adorable robot Alex. This time he visits us digitally, through a pair of VR goggles, completely unconstrained by our reality.

I Alone Together Robin Jonsson takes on Virtual Reality to develop a completely new live format. As an audience member, you step into an empty room and get a pair of VR glasses. Robin and Alex are somewhere else. Your worlds then meet virtually as you step into each other's universe.

With cutting-edge technology and unrivalled ingenuity, Jonsson is expanding a virtual stage space with unlimited possibilities. Alone Together is an attempt to transfer the essentials of the performing arts - presence, intimacy and exclusivity - to the digital environment. Online, with interactive tools and in real time, the audience is given the opportunity to experience and co-create dance art in the almost infinite capacity of a digital world.

The senses, movement and popular culture are recurring themes in Robins Jonsson's work. Throughout his career, he has been interested in the relationship between man and machine as well as digital developments and what they can bring to the field of performing arts. Stable, intuitive and innovative, Jonsson creates works that both amaze and fascinate.
