The first edition of Gatuverket's Rhythm n' Moves festival visits Dansens Hus!
TicketsOn 2 May, Gatuverket together with Dansens Hus, presents a packed day of performances, theatre happenings, battles, parties, workshops and inspiring talks.
Rhythm n’ Moves is the first edition of an international street/club dance festival in Stockholm, taking place from 27 April to 3 May 2026 in several venues, performance spaces and clubs around the city. The festival will feature invited local and international dancers.
Rhythm n’ Moves is organised by Gatuverket and you can find the festival programme below. The programme is updated continuously.

Rhythm n’ Moves - Battles

For a long time, Stockholm has been without a major international battle in festival format.
Rhythm n’ Moves - Battle spans two days and two stages. Here at the Dansens Hus, on 2 May with qualifying rounds. Quarter-finals, semi-finals and finals will be held on Orion Theatre on 3 May.

Oulouy with ”Black”

Black is a choreographic confrontation with the violence and struggle that characterise black life in today's society. Through references to Black Lives Matter and the murder of George Floyd, Oulouy questions the place of the black body in the West.

Paradox Hall with ”WOMAN”

Paradox-Sal celebrates twelve years of sisterhood, dance and struggle with its first fully self-produced work WOMAN, a choreographic declaration of love to the women they have been, are and will be. Performed on the Main Stage and is part of two works performed there during the evening. WOMAN cannot be booked separately but is part of the Rhythm of the Night!

Paradox-Sals WOMAN and Gatuverket Rhythm of the Night is a Double Ticket sold together = one ticket, two performances. WOMAN is not purchased separately. Oulouys Black can be bought separately or as an add-on to the ticket package.

Only Black: = 150 kr.
The programme is presented by Gatuverket, which works with and for street and freestyle dance as a culture and art form, in collaboration with Dansens Hus. Paradoxal Hall with WOMAN and Oulouy with Black is also touring with Dance network Sweden spring 2026.
The programme is organised by Gatuverket with the support of the City of Stockholm, the Swedish Arts Council, Dansens Hus and Orionteatern.

About Julie Kunz
With a background in the dance style electric boogie and physical acting, Julie Kunz has established herself as a stage artist in Denmark. She has appeared on many stages around the country as a performer and also creates her own works through her company Kunz and Company. Besides that, Julie works as a freelance choreographer and has, among other things, worked for Christian Lollike several times and Uppercut Danseteater. Julie also teaches dance and theatre at e.g. Hotstepper Dance Education, Savery Academy and in the Danish youth association Teatermejeriet.

About Ida ”Inxi” Holmlund
Inxi is a street and club dance artist based in Stockholm. She has been working as a freelance dancer and choreographer for over fifteen years and has studied several street dance styles at Åsa Folk High School and Juste Debout School in Paris. She represents the House of Alpha Omega and was named Legendary in the global ballroom scene in 2019. She has won several prestigious battles, including the Latex Ball in New York and Juste Debout Nordic Popping and Streetstar 7 to smoke popping. She performed on Beyoncé's Renaissance World Tour in Stockholm in 2023 and was a dancer at Cullberg in 2025.

GATUVERKET is a Swedish organisation founded with the aim to develop and strengthen the art form and infrastructure around freestyle and street dance related dance expressions. The organisation is based in Stockholm and is founded by dancers and choreographers Bianca Traum, Yared Tilahun Cederlund, Maele Sabuni, Marvil Iglesias, Erik Linghede, Alexander Dam and Niki Tsappos.
