An innovator and leading figure in Swedish dance is back. After eight years as principal at DOCH, choreographer Efva Lilja is back with the world premiere of A house, a cow, a woman: an installation, a lunch date, a performance, a story time for adults and a lunch date.
Feelings of well-being, creativity or passivity are largely determined by the spaces we find ourselves in. Efva Lilja builds spaces that take us into different layers of consciousness - beyond everything defined as reasonable, reasonable, real and true. She does this in dance, image, text and with original music by Per-Henrik Mäenpää. With song, a house and a cow.
Med A house, a cow, a woman Efva Lilja reconsiders both political events and everyday actions, turning what we easily take for granted upside down. "I choreograph spaces of light and scent, ink and pencil figures, moving image and dance in an interactive dialogue with the audience who choose proximity or distance, active participation or observational meditative reflection. Drawn figures act and complement my presence with everything I cannot do myself. I dance, draw myself in, supplement with "ready-made" images and objects, film installations and a radio-controlled house (home) inhabited by a cow." /Efva Lilja
