It is usually music rather than stories that inspire the Belgian dance icon. Anne Teresa de Keersmaekers choreography. Shakespeare's playful and queer comedy is both. As you like it (As you wish) about an idyllic, golden world in the Ardennes forest where lovers flee and time stands still, is embodied by eleven young dancers. The title refers to the song Golden Hours of Brian Eno. What happens when Shakespeare's rhythmic and poetic language is transformed into dance? Not a single word is spoken but passages from the play are projected on the wall and become movements, steps and gestures.

"All the world's a stage, and all the men and women merely players: they have their exits and their entrances; and one man in his time plays many parts, his acts being seven ages."
William Shakespeare

With a fine balance between abstract and concrete gestures, they dance the intricate intricacies of the play over and over again. A game of seduction, attraction, misunderstanding and flames. Time is stretched and Shakespeare's words are read in a new way in this expressive dance palette.
