What is the appeal of tackling a classic? And what are the challenges? Choreographer Fredrik Benke Rydman and Dansens Hus Theatre Director Annelie Gardell discuss the temptation to renew our classical works, but also the traps involved.

Fredrik Rydman has previously staged both The Nutcracker and Swan Lake with music by Pyotr Tchaikovsky at Dansens Hus. How do you make a classic relevant in today's world? How to relate to the original production and how to avoid falling into clichés?
