With impressive agility, profound expression and intense stage presence, one of the Nordic region's most original dancers and choreographers is back on the main stage. Together with dancer Oskar Landström, Virpi Pahkinen presents the work Scarabé, whose name symbolises transformation.
TicketsIn her wondrous and magical universe are spider caves and strands of vertebrae, and to feverishly fast drums we travel on the wings of the peregrine falcon. The music to performanceone is specially written by musicians from Japan, Ecuador, Sweden, Norway and Guinea. Virpi Pahkinen has toured more than 40 countries and has received numerous awards for her work - most recently the Royal Medal Litteris et al. Artibus for his outstanding artistic achievements as a dancer and choreographer.
