MELO Collective ^(SWE) A place 2019 10-11 December 2019

Programme

"a place" is an all-artistic work with dancers, singers, students from Kung Saga särskolegymnasium and Kungliga Svenska Balettskolan and live music with percussion, synthesizers, wind and string instruments. Together with the audience, the group creates a total experience that blurs the line between spectator, stage, movement and sound.

The performing arts collective MELO started in 2005 and brings together artists in art, dance, music and sound design. Permanent members are Andrea Fantuzzi, Isa-Maria Kvensler, Ola Hjelmberg, Melina Mastrotanasi and Sara Soumah. In addition, they work with a variety of external collaborators and visiting artists. Over the years MELO has collaborated with NorrlandsOperan, New Theatre on Pechersk (Ukraine), Hultsfredsfestivalen, Parkteatern and Edsviks konsthall.

The performance was shown in 2018 on the Dansens Hus small stage.
MELO has previously, in autumn 2016 and 2017, presented the show "Closeness" at Dansens Hus.
