Alexander Ekman is one of Sweden's most popular dance exports, known for his accurate works with a humorous twist. Only 26 years old, he has had a successful dance career and established himself internationally as a choreographer.
He has been commissioned by, among others, Nederlands Dans Theater, Ballet de L'Opéra du Rhin, Bern Ballet and Ballet Junior de Genève, IT-Dansa, Iceland Dance Company, GöteborgsOperans Danskompani, Orionteatern, Kungliga Operan and Cullberg.

Micael Bindefeld Foundation in memory of the Holocaust
The Foundation awarded the 2020 grant to Alexander Ekman for a work based on the issues raised by the memory of the Holocaust. Each year, the Foundation awards a scholarship to support those who in some way communicate stories about the Holocaust to a wide audience.
