Sharon Eyal (1971) was born in Jerusalem and danced with the Batsheva Dance Company from 1990 to 2008. Between 2003-2004, Eyal was assistant artistic director of the company and from 2005-2012 house choreographer.
Her distinctive style is strongly influenced by two major lines in her life: her time as a dancer and choreographer in the Batsheva Dance Company and her great fascination with the world of clubs and raves.
From 2009, Eyal also started choreographing for other dance companies, including Killer Pig (2009) and Walk bodies (2011) for the Norwegian dance company Carte Blanche, and Too Beaucoup (2011) for Hubbard Street Dance Chicago and Plafona (2012) for the German Tanzcompagnie Oldenburg.
In 2013 she started her own dance company L-E-V together with long-time collaborator Gai Behar. In Sweden, Eyal has worked with GöteborgsOperans Danskompani with the works Untitled black (2012) and Car dance (2018) and SAABA (2021) and made the celebrated works the celebrated works Bill (2014) and Half Life (2017) for the Royal Opera Ballet. In the autumn of 2018, the company presented the acclaimed "Love chapterr 2" on the main stage of Dansens Hus.
In addition to this, Eyal also has an in-depth collaboration with Dior's chief designer Maria Grazia Chiuri and Eyal has choreographed Dior's seasonal fashion collections several times. Grazia Chiuri also makes costumes for Into The Hairy which will be shown at Dansens Hus Elverket in autumn 2024.

Sharon Eyal in her own solo (2012)
720° is a celebrated installation by designer, artist and architect Ron Arad. It is an installation of monumental proportions. It consists of 5600 silicon rods suspended from a height of 8 metres to form a perfect circle, transforming the space into an outdoor stage.In 2012, Sharon Eyal was invited to participate in the installation with her own solo called In Black.
The dance work Killer Pig (2012)
The vibrant and physical work Killer Pig was originally created for the Norwegian Carte Blanche in 2009. Since then, the work has travelled to several festivals and stages around the world.
