"Tonight Miss Julie is mad again, completely mad!" The opening line of August Strindberg's classic work has inspired Jeanette Langert, who is known for her uncompromising style and distinctive minimalism.
I John she puts the male role and the body under the microscope. The starting point is three dancers who relate to the character. Jean. The dancers' bodies are sometimes angular, sometimes soft, and the movements are perfectly chiselled down to the last detail. John has been created as a national co-production and will tour through Dansnät Sweden.
Jeanette Langert has been recognised for her powerful dance works. Her latest work at Dansens Hus, Spring victims received a standing ovation from the audience, and in December 2014 it won the Performing Arts Guide award in the category 'Catharsis of the Year'.
The performance will be followed by a post-show discussion between choreographer Jeanette Langert and dramaturge Bodil Persson.
