Flamenco Friday transforms Dansens Hus Lilla Scen into a tablao, a flamenco stage filled with pure flamenco power. Nerve-wracking moments of improvisation meet elaborate compositions, the artists get caught up in the atmosphere and take you into the magical world of flamenco. There will be lyrical guitar solos, deep singing - cante jondo and dancing filled with rhythm and strength.

We start with a short introduction to flamenco by our presenter, then FlamencoFriday takes the stage, which this evening brings together some of our top flamenco artists. In the tablaon, the song, the guitar and the dance meet on equal terms, in the improvisational, interactive and in the live that makes the hair stand up. The focus is on the human encounter between the flamenco performers and the audience. The evening ends of course with a fin de fiesta, flamenco jam.

FlamencoFriday is Stockholm "tablao", a flamenco scene common both in Spain and around the world where flamenco has made its mark. Earlier this year, FlamencoFredag won the award as Organiser of the Year at the annual Folk- och Världsmusikgalan, has so far presented around a hundred individual flamenco artists from the Nordic countries and around the world and is the only continuous flamenco scene in Sweden.
