After being separated for years, Mohamed and Latifa find each other again on stage. The Power (of) The Fragile is a meeting of two worlds, two bodies, two minds. Latifa has always dreamed of becoming a dancer, her son Mohamed had the opportunity to make dance his profession. The stage becomes a place where memories take on new meaning and where a new future may begin for both of them.

The Power (of) The Fragile is a tender portrait of the close relationship between Mohamed and his mother. Their lives and dreams begin to merge, but time claims its space between mother and son.

The Power (of) The Fragile is a collection of images, reflections on the relationship between mother and son, on what it means to be at home and to go away. It is a performance about movement, about bodies and people., about weight and what it means to carry weight, about being together and being apart.

Mohamed moved to Paris to dance at the age of 15, but it was only after receiving permanent Belgian citizenship that he was able to move freely between his native Tunisia and the dance scenes of Europe. The citizenship also meant that he could now take his mum with him who, through his family, was eventually able to get a visa to visit Europe.
