No corner is safe when Irons stencils, spray cans and brushes are brought out. Together with his fellow painters Vegan Flava, MAG and Kalle Kath Iron takes the opportunity to decorate the gigantic foyer of Dansens Hus. Iron is known for his political and direct works that contain both humour and philosophy or just unassuming beauty. Led by his creative flow, he never knows where his artistry will take him. However, he often finds himself at the mercy of symbols and for this reason has been called a drama queen by his fellow painters.

When we ask him about his grand plans for the foyer, he indicates that the work will deal with the contemporary world at large and the change in the world. Iron focuses on female liberation and feminist advances, not only in women, but also in men or them. As Iron describes it himself - A love-bomb in a black and white world of fear.

Bogdan bizic asks iron

How do you think your art contributes to society?
- I'd like to think that my art gives perspective to the subject it is centred on. At least that is my goal. Art is free and free thought in a society is extremely important. As soon as our lines of thought become narrower, which is the case today even with "new media", I think we are on a dangerous path. Polarisation increases, but so does awareness of it, and the counterforce.

What do you think is the difference between political graffiti and political values from politicians?
- Graffiti is an art form about taking up space. Street art, which is often political or socially critical, wants to point out injustices or criticise the values/actions of our politicians. In a free society, criticism and questioning are important. What's the difference... politicians talk, we paint.

If you could repaint the interior of the Parliament, what motifs would you use and what message would the painting be characterised by?
- Wow, that would be something. Maybe it would be a tribute mural to Solidarity. It is a beautiful foundation in Swedish history. Something to be proud of and continue to strive for. A visual affirmation to those who work there.
