In late spring 2022, an extravagant stage fireworks display awaits. Canada's Crystal Pite is bringing her company Kidd Pivot and some of Canada's top dancers across the Atlantic to showcase the lavishly colourful "Auditor" for the Swedish audience.
Author Gogol's 19th century play about a man mistaken for an accountant becomes a hybrid of dance and theatre in the hands of Pite and her partner, author Jonathon Young. Some of Canada's finest actors provide the spoken text and eight of the company's dancers embody Gogol's themes of conflict, corruption and endless bureaucracy. But what begins as a classic farce becomes more and more filled with timeless, universal and uncomfortably dark undertones with each repetition.

The show is a collaboration between Crystal Pite and author Jonathon Young. The duo was also behind the hit show "Dismay" which was named the best dance performance of the 21st century by The Guardian. It also won an Olivier Award for Best New Dance Production.
