Sök tekniskt produktions­residens på Dansens Hus

Under hösten 2024 och våren 2025 erbjuder Dansens Hus tre tekniska produktionsresidens i Hallen / Farsta och på Elverket. Sista dag för ansökan var 3 mars 2024.

Residenset kan användas både för slutprocess av ett nytt verk, eller som ett konstnärligt labb för att utveckla nya idéer. Rummet kan användas på olika sätt och behöver inte användas med utgångspunkt i formatet scen/salong. Det går alltså att söka residens för projekt som är tänkta både för stora och små scenrum.

Vi önskar att residenset innefattar någon form av publik visning eller annan publik aktivitet. Residenset garanterar inte att produktionen visas på Dansens Hus i framtiden.

Residensperioderna:

• November 2024: V 47 och V48 i Hallen/Farsta
• Januari 2025: 2 veckor på Elverket
• Mars 2025: 2 veckor på Elverket

Dansens Hus erbjuder:

• Två veckors tekniskt produktionsresidens, vilket inkluderar tekniskt arbete med scenografi, ljus- och ljud tillsammans med tekniker från Dansens Hus.
• Produktionsmedel på 50 000 kronor som utbetalas mot faktura.
• Tillgång till befintlig teknik samt en mindre budget för teknikhyror.

Vänligen notera att residenset på Hallen/Farsta innebär begränsningar i möjligheterna att rigga ljus.

Ansökan:

• Önskad residensperiod(er)
• En kortare produktionspresentation (max 1 A4)
• Beskriv hur du vill arbeta med teknik under residenset. Vad tänker du/ni att du/ni ska uppnå under residenset?
• Förslag på residensplanering/schema
• Budget för residensperioden
• Premiärdatum och lista på andra planerade speltillfällen, ev. samproducenter och samarbeten
• Samlad kontaktlista och CV
• Arbetsprover från tidigare konstnärligt arbete i form av filmat material eller liknande
• Rörligt material i form av Youtube- och/eller Vimeoklipp, alternativt andra länkar (om detta finns)

För att säkra goda förutsättningar för residenset ser vi gärna att sökande koreograf/scenkonstnär har en producent, ljus- och ljuddesigner finns knuten till produktionen.

Urvalet görs av en referensgrupp bestående av Dansens Hus programråd samt externa curators.

Open call “Technical production residency” at Dansens Hus. 

During fall 2024 and spring 2025, Dansens hus offers three technical production residencies at Hallen/Farsta and at Elverket. Sweden-based choreographers or performing artists are given the opportunity to work on their artistic project in a theatre space with technical equipment.

The residency can be used both for the final process of a new work, or as an artistic lab to develop new ideas. The space can be used in different ways and does not have to be used in a stage/auditorium format. It is therefore possible to apply for a residency for projects that are intended for both large and small theatre spaces.

We want the residency to include some form of audience showing or other audience activity. The residency does not guarantee that the production will be shown at Dansens hus in the future.

The residency periods:

• November 2024: Week 47 and Week 48 at Hallen in Farsta, Sweden
• January 2025: 2 weeks at Elverket
• March 2025: 2 weeks at Elverket

Dansens Hus offers:

• Two weeks technical production residency, which includes technical work with scenography, lights and sound together with technicians from Dansens hus.
• Production funds of SEK 50,000 to be paid by invoice.
• Access to existing technical equipment and a small budget for renting of technical equipment.

Please note that there will be limitations in the possibility of rigging lights during the residency in Hallen/Farsta.

The application:

• Desired residency period(s)
• A short production presentation (max 1 A4)
• Describe how you want to work with tech during the residency. What do you intend to achieve during the residency?
• Proposal for the planning/schedule of the residency
• Budget for the residency period
• Premiere date and list of other planned performances, possible co-producers and collaborations.
• Compiled contact list and CV
• Work samples from previous artistic work in the form of film material or similar.
• Moving material in the form of Youtube and/or Vimeo clips, or other links (if available).

We would like the applicant choreographer/artist to have a producer, light and sound designer as part of the production team. This is to ensure good conditions for the residency and is not mandatory.

The selection will be made by a reference group consisting of Dansens hus programme council and external curators.

The outcome of the open call will be announced via email latest on 2^nd of April 2024.
